GoldStrike Casino Resort Tunica,MS

The Best in Tunica

The Goldstrike is ranked high on my list!

It is part of the MGM  and Mlife family it brings a little bit of Vegas to Tunica.

The rooms are 4 stars the casino layout and spacing is very good.

Very good on comps and service.

For the true Gambler this is a great spot…….one thing makes them excellent, they have true casino host!!

If you’re a true gambler the casino hosts here will take great care of you……at first I thought I was just lucky

and happen to get one good host, but after she retired her replacement was every bit as good.

Even if you are not a  big gambler the mlife players card comp system works great.

They have a very nice spa to relax and some great resturants.

I’ll be updateding this one a lot…..so check back often and feel free to ask question in the comment box.

Turning Stone Verona,NY

Monday, February 28th, 2011

They turned the stone a few to many times……what a shame!!

I started  visiting this Casino for a week or two at a time every since it opened,

for years while they were trying to building up business they were great.

(Now you know the “BUT” is coming)

I can rant for a long time on as they grew, they fell.

They have all the tools to be a great Casino-Resort, They added a golf course, a spa, suites, etc

But they’re players card only benefits you there (and doesn’t benefit you much there)

They have one excellent Casino Host, but one good host can’t keep up. They want high rollers but they’ve over packed

the Casino with nickel machines and overwhelmed the table area, and heavy promote bus trips from I don’t

know where.

It’s a real eye opener when you go down to the casino from your room and there are rows and rows of slots roped off

with a sign that says something like “This area is closed by order of the NY Gaming commission”

This really makes you wonder how much “rigging” is going on?

Unlike many other Native American Casinos who the proceeds are for the benefit of the tribe, I’m told that’s not

the scope here (other than providing some jobs) there is an un-elected few that are keeping the money.

If you visit for the Golf and spa……they are both nice but expensive so take a lot of cash and don’t

expect the service that goes with the price tag.
